December 12, 2005 Like I Said, It's Genetic

Wow. I should take pictures of my mother-in-law's home, she's the same way. She has 3 Christmas trees, and over 200 carolers. But there is something festive and happy about it, isn't there! My own mother never would get around to decorating until just before the holiday--we usually decorated the tree on the 23rd--and I love getting all decked out right after Thanksgiving. Change is God (Octavia Butler, Parable Series) "In this world, there is nothing softer or thinner than water. But to compel the hard and unyielding, it has no equal. That the weak overcomes the strong, that the hard gives way to the gentle -- this everyone knows. Yet no one acts accordingly."
