November 1, 2006 Attn: Shoppers; I will no longer be posting Annika updates here
So get yourself over to Annika's site and subscribe to updates some other way. I know it's hard to be super-motivated now when things are going so well for them and surgery still seems off somewhere in the rosy distance. But I want to get the groundwork laid now so that if it becomes necessary, we can mobilize in a day or two instead of weeks. Weeks is a long time in the world of major hospital bills. It's very easy. Just click on over and choose a button: feedburner, bloglines or email. Feedburner will let you subscribe through any reader or method you like, so your options are wide open. As the very last Annika update that will ever be published here--and I mean it--David Raney has donated a signed copy of REM's "Monster" LP for the raffle. Tickets are $5. Surely you know a music fan who might like to find this under the tree on an unspecified December morning? This raffle will be held on November 20th. If you want reminders, get over to the raffles site and subscribe. The title of this blog was taken from the short story "The Language of Nna Mmoy" by Ursula le Guin in her collection, Changing Planes. I won't tell you why or how, because I want you to read the story and figure it out for yourself.
