July 20, 2007 Frances Friday: Oh Happy Day
Guess who just got a spot in the before-and-after school daycare program at the local public school, thus allowing her to attend regular junior kindergarten this September? And guess who is going to end up saving over $100/month on childcare costs because of this? And guess who is beyond relieved to know that this is one thing she doesn't have to worry about anymore? She gets a spot as of August 13th, which is before we move in; but that means that once we are living there, I can start transitioning her to her new care situation and she will have plenty of time to get used to it before I have to go back to work. It'll cost a bit more now because we'll have to pay for most of August (and while I'm on unpaid leave too) but save us a bundle in the long term, plus get her started in the local school right away.
